'Couch to 5k' running course

If this sounds like you, why not join us at the Little Stoke Park ‘Couch to 5K’ beginners running course? Running is a really cheap and time efficient way of gaining fitness and maybe losing a little weight along the way.
As this course takes place within the park, with its level tarmac surfaces, it's very buggy friendly. So if you have a little one, they can come to! Plus, it's timed so you can do it straight after the school drop off, then get on with your day. Or maybe chat over a tea or coffee with the new friends you'll make on the course!
This ‘C25K’ course lasts 9 weeks and will take you from running for a minute followed by 1 ½ minutes walking (done eight times) in the first week. By week 9 you'll be running for 30 minutes and be able to complete a 5km parkrun by the end of the course. Can't believe it? Nor can 99% of the people who sign up. A fact we remind them of when they complete that 30-minute run.
Our courses are priced at £10 – for those who do less than 30 minutes of exercise a week & £20 for everyone else. That starts at just over £1 a week. What’s more, we even give you a FREE technical running t-shirt when you complete the course! If you did one of our courses in the past and your running has lapsed for whatever reason, you’re welcome back, as long as it was more than 6 months since you finished your course.
