The Avon Wildlife Trust is the largest membership-based wildlife organisation in the area, dedicated to promoting and protecting wildlife.
We arrange walks each weekend as well as midweek evenings in the summer. The area and length of the walk varies greatly and members also arrange occasional weekends away.
We have regular social events such as skittles evenings, quiz nights, barbecues and the like, and there is always a Christmas dinner.
However, we are more than just a walking club. The Ramblers is a registered charity and one of its aims is to campaign to keep the footpath network open.
The group seeks to conserve and enhance the biodiversity and environmental quality of the historic woodland sited between the MoD and the UWE, and to provide good quality public access to the woodland at levels that are in balance with the conservation of its biodiversity. It seeks to build links with the local community and different local groups through the organisation of work parties and events.

Walking for Health has a programme of walks between 0.5 and 3 miles to suit a range of walking needs. These free walks are led by trained volunteers.
